The Opinionated Copper Pot

My husband thinks the copper jug represented in this painting is very anthropomorphic. It does indeed appear to have something on its mind.

Nothing too exciting here. I was just trying to achieve a metallic look without metallic paint.

Such a Small World

Back on April 6 Tina Tarnoff of Thought Patterns published a few snapshots of her place. If you look closely you can see the notepad featuring one of my paintings.

To think that was sitting on my chair in Toronto and now it's sitting on Tina's chair in San Francisco. Small world.

Please check out Tina's wonderful blog and her Etsy shop. She is so very talented.

Lawrence Street

Hey! I'm finally posting again. The sun's out. The weather's warm and I'm feeling pretty happy. I finished two paintings yesterday (I will post those soon) and I put an original painting of mine on Etsy.

Its title "Lawrence Street" is a bit cryptic, but I used it because two people have told me it reminds them of a Lawren Harris painting.

This simple painting is predominantly blue, white and cream. Despite its chilly subject matter the painting is somehow imbued with warmth. A slight glimmer has been included on its snowy boughs thanks to some interference blue.

It's 16"X12" and painted on gallery-wrapped canvas and I'm selling it for $220 US. More about it can be seen here.
